The daughter of a film photographer, she was immersed in and intrigued by storytelling through photos from a young age. By freshman year of highschool, she was comfortable with medium format and 35mm photography. Eventually, large format came into the picture as well. Partnering with Ellis Becker-Lipton and forming Bluefire & Grenouille Studios has allowed her to further her knowledge in photography as a business, learning the ins and outs of pricing, printing, developing, and scanning. They now work together, frequently capturing life as well as shooting commissions for musicians, families, and individuals. Tess aims to take classes in photography next fall when she attends NYU in order to learn even more about storytelling through a camera.
